College of Community Innovation and Education – Toni Jennings Exceptional Education Institute (TJEEI)
Toni Jennings Exceptional Education Institute (TJEEI) is dedicated to preparing and retaining exceptional student education teachers and related professional educators who serve children and adults with special needs. In collaboration with Central Florida partners, TJEEI provides families of children with disabilities, UCF faculty and students, and educators access to current information, resources, and opportunities. Through teaching and research clinics, UCF faculty and students associated with the institute offer services to students with disabilities and their families focused on assessment, behavior, reading, mathematics, and community counseling.
 
The Opportunity:
 
Post Doctoral Scholar
 
Responsibilities:
The Post Doctoral Scholar assigned to the project will work with the Grant PI, CO-PI, and TJEEI at UCF to provide instructional support and grant operations for Project ABA, and program development consistent with requirements for Applied Behavior Analysis International (ABAI) program accreditation. This role will work under the direction of UCF Project ABA Coordinator, Dr. Kelly Schaffer, and Project Investigators. The fellow will participate in course revisions and development consistent with the Behavior Analysis Certification Board requirements in response to increasing changes in requirements for scholars seeking certification in ABA. Additional activities include graduate manuscript writing for publication in scientific journals and presentations at national conferences, in addition to further grant writing. The following activities will occur between Kelly Schaffer, Eleazar Vasquez, and the PD fellow.

PhD BCBA
 
Preferred Qualifications:
PhD BCBA-D

Pursuant to Florida State Statute 1010.35, prior to offering employment to certain individuals in research-related positions, UCF is required to conduct additional screening. Applicants subject to additional screening include any citizen of a foreign country who is not a permanent resident of the U.S., or who is a citizen or permanent resident but is affiliated with or has had at least 1 year of education, employment, or training in China, Cuba, Iran, Russia, North Korea, Syria, or Venezuela.
