POSITION TITLE: Accounts Receivable Manager
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Accounts Receivable Manager will focus on ensuring billing and cash transactions are recorded accurately and timely and strive to reduce accounts receivable delinquency. The candidate will have an ability to develop measurable key metrics, building strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders along the way.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Manage, recognize, and mentor the AR team, facilitating their growth and development.
- Foster a team culture focused on customer service, accountability, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Reviews, Posts, and Serves as a backup on all AR related tasks pertaining to Billing, Cash application and Collections, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of the process in Workday.
- Reconciles accounts receivable balances to match sub-systems data and external documentation.
- Ensure that collections are performed in a professional manner with a focus on customer service by the AR team.
- Develop and update existing Accounts Receivable SOPs through collaboration within AR and all impacted organizational stakeholders.
- Manage performance reviews in accordance to company guidelines and evaluates workload.
- Partners effectively with organizational stakeholders, management, and peers and communicate effectively with outside consultants, Scripps personnel, and leadership in support of AR activities and compliance with internal controls and policies.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Admin or a related field or equivalent combination of relevant education, training and/or experience.
- Minimum 5-7 years of AR related experience, preferably in the biotechnology or technology sectors and/or life sciences.
- Minimum of 3-5 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
- Working knowledge and/or experience with any large ERP Oracle cloud systems, NetSuite, Great Plains etc., Workday preferred.
- Advanced understanding of Customer enablement, Workday, Ad-hoc transactions, Banking platform and Customer portals.
- Strong analytical skills, problem solver, high level of curiosity, ability to dive deep, find solutions and deliver results.
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Adaptable to changing priorities while effectively managing multiple commitments.
- Understanding of GAAP principles, and internal controls.
- This is an on-campus position requiring 4 days per week working onsite from our La Jolla campus, with flexibility to work 1 day per week remotely from home.
COMPENSATION:
The expected hiring range for this position is $100,000 annually to $122,500 annually, commensurate with experience. Consideration will be given to experience that exceeds the listed requirements.
