OVERVIEW
*This person will be an integral member of an existing mature and cross-functional Agile team, supporting an application portfolio primarily comprised of 3rd party applications. Among the application portfolio is:
oNetwork Management System - Oracle Utilities Network Management System
oOutage Management System - an electric outage analytics solution
*This is a team that does more "operations" type work rather than new development work. They maintain, patch, support the various 3rd party vendor applications (i.e. Oracle)
JOB DESCRIPTION
*Technical Delivery Manager to help the teams (which include 3rd party vendor teams) overcome obstacle and deliver the commitments. Will contribute in various ways; delivery management, removing obstacles, analyzing issues and helping drive conversations to come to a solution, orchestration of test events, patching, project management type duties, communication with the business users.
*Will take on heavy Project Manager / Technical Delivery Manager type duties as well (which will require architectural knowledge of the application stack - app server, middleware, web servers, infrastructure, etc - in order to help troubleshoot issues the applications are experiencing.
*This person will need to quickly pick up the complex Grid Operations systems. In order to pick up quickly, the candidate should have been "technical" in the past (i.e. Systems Analyst, software developer, etc.) and understand how an application is architected - web, middleware, server (Linux), vendor packaged software / SaaS, etc. Need this experience in order to know where there might be blockers or impediments to the work and how to remediate.
*May contribute to the team in other ways such as orchestration of test events, patching, communication with the business users.
*Specialize into their domain - and the technology - in order to pick up quickly. Will use their skills in software/middleware (maybe sw development background) rather than the business side
*Dig into impediments and blockers from a technical level
*May also act as the team's Scrum Master and handle typical Scrum Master duties. The team is pretty mature. This person will do meeting facilitation - stand-ups, retros, sprint planning. Help the team reach a consensus on what they can achieve during each development sprint. Assign and delegate tasks appropriately (ensuring the team's work aligns with priorities and the overall schedule)

The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $83.00/hr.
